Microsoft Office Customisation
Unleash the power in your existing software!
Weather you use your Office Investment a little or a
lot, an extra investment in ‘Forms’, ‘Reports’ or just ‘automating’ work can
help to increase productivity by freeing you and your staff from tedious,
but necessary jobs so that you can spend more time on the activities that
make your business profitable.
• Data entry can be made faster by the use of ‘user
friendly’ intuitive forms.
• Regular reports or Graphs can be automated.
• Did you ever wish you could take the good parts of Excel
and Combine them with Access or Word?
• Unleash the customer database that you have in your
Outlook ‘Contacts’
• Did you know that ‘too successfully restore Outlook’ 3
separate items need to be backed up?

Data validation and verification
It is a sad case, that many organisations assume that once data is in the
'computer' it stays in a state of perpetual correctness forever. However,
very rarely is there good validation and verification when data is entered,
nor is data checked or corrected. Data that is not secured decays over time
from inadvertent error. The type of error staff accidentally make, while
they are doodling on the phone or drinking coffee. This is different from
malicious and wilful damage to data. The rate of change for error is
directly proportional to the activity a data set experiences and the length
of time since it was originally entered. (even id originally correct)
Some organisations now must ensure on a regular basis that their data is
true and correct and that a suitably qualified person signs of that this is
so. For example the Mining and Exploration industry in Canada must now
ensure compliance with the
National Instrument 43-101
Skandus can;
- design a manual data validation and verification program with
certified signoff on a data set
- design initiatives to ensure data is entered correctly
- review existing software, protocols and practise to ensure data is
correct from data entry and is secured after entry and validation /
verification has taken place.
